On January 15, the office of Guangdong Science and Technology Award Review Committee released the list of the proposed awards of Guangdong Science and Technology Award for 2021, with 22 natural science awards, 12 technical invention awards and 142 science and technology progress awards to be granted, totaling 176 awards, among which universities picked up a total of 85 Guangdong Science and Technology Awards as the first completing unit. Shenzhen University won a total of 10 awards as the first completing unit, including 4 first-class awards and 6 second-class awards.
Under the great attention of the leaders of the university and the college, and with the hard work of the reporting teachers and scientific secretaries, the College of Civil and Transportation Engineering won four awards in 2021 as the first-completed unit, including two first-class awards for technical inventions, one first-class award for scientific and technological progress, and one second-class award for scientific and technological progress. In addition, the College of Civil and Transportation Engineering, as a participating unit, also won one Second Prize of Natural Science.
