Recently, our Distinguished Professor Zhou Zhixiang received a congratulatory letter from President Boris Vladimirovich Gusev of the Russian Academy of Engineering: Professor Zhou Zhixiang was elected as a foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering (RAE) at the election meeting of the members of the Russian Academy of Engineering (RAE) for the year 2023.

The Russian Academy of Engineering, which has significant international academic influence, actively develops the membership of foreign scientists who have made significant achievements in promoting the development of science and technology in the world.

Biographical Note of Prof Zhou Zhixiang

Male, Han nationality, born in April 1958, foreign member of the Russian Academy of Engineering, full-time special professor and doctoral supervisor of the College of Civil and Transportation Engineering of Shenzhen University. Professor Zhou Zhixiang has long been engaged in the exploration of new bridge structures and new methods of intelligent monitoring, and has undertaken more than 20 national and provincial science and technology projects, which has promoted the technical progress of the bridge field and the development of the discipline; he has published more than 200 academic papers and 7 monographs, and has been authorised to obtain more than 60 invention patents; he has won the second prize of the National Scientific and Technological Progress Award, and the provincial and ministerial scientific and technological achievement awards, of which there are 20, including 6 first prizes.
