The "Higher Education Cup" National Advanced Mapping Technology and Product Information Modeling Innovation Competition for College Students is the highest level national competition in the field of graphics courses, jointly organized by the Teaching Guidance Committee for Engineering Graphics Courses in Higher Education Institutions of the former Ministry of Education, the Drawing Technology Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Graphics, and the Product Information Modeling Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Graphics. In 2018, it was included in the national ranking of general university subject competitions by the Chinese Society of Higher Education.

The competition aims to cultivate students' craftsmanship spirit, stimulate their innovative consciousness, explore the development direction of graphics, and innovate the methods and means of creating graphic carriers. The purpose is to promote teaching, learning, and improvement through competitions, comprehensively improve the graphic learning ability of college students, and stimulate and support a large number of outstanding talents for the development of Made in China towards China.

The national finals of the 17th Higher Education Cup National College Students' Advanced Mapping Technology and Product Information Modeling Innovation Competition will be held on July 27, 2024, in a combinationof offline and online formats. A team of 11 students from our college from Shenzhen University (majoring in architecture) went to Guizhou University to participate in an offline competition.

Under the organization of our school's leadership, led by Vice Dean Yang Lei, Teacher Xiong Chen, Teacher Han Kaihang, and Teacher Ding Xiaobo, 11 students participated in the competition and hard work, and finally won the third prize of the national finals team competition. Among them, Yang Zihan won the first prize in the national finals, Feng Zhichong won the second prize in the national finals, and Liu Xinru, Huang Jiaxin, He Qiumei, Chen Yangfan, Lin Kaijie, He Yongting, and Huang Zehao won the third prize in the national finals.
